How do I create my first pin?

To create a pin, open the Pinwave app, navigate to the map, and tap the "+" button. Select a song from your connected music streaming service, choose a location on the map, and add a message or memory. Your pin will be visible to other users who discover that location.

What music streaming services are supported?

Pinwave supports Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music. You can connect your preferred streaming service in the app settings. This allows you to pin songs from your library and play discovered pins directly within the app.

How does the Quest Hub work?

The Quest Hub features daily challenges, achievements, and location-based quests. Complete quests to earn XP, unlock badges, and level up your profile. Tap the Quest pill on the map screen to see your active quests and progress.

Is my location data private?

Yes. We only access your location when the app is in use (unless you enable background location for quest notifications). Your location data is used to show nearby pins and enable location-based features. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

How do I become an Artist Pro member?

Artist Pro is available for verified artists. It includes advanced analytics, fan club management, tour promotion tools, and priority support. Contact us at artists@pinwave.app to learn more about verification and Artist Pro features.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings under Account → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your profile, pins, and associated data. This action cannot be undone.

Common Issues

Pins not loading on the map

  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure location permissions are enabled
  • Try zooming in closer to your current location
  • Pull down to refresh the map
  • Restart the app if the issue persists

Music playback issues

  • Verify your streaming service connection in Settings
  • Check if you have an active subscription (Spotify Premium or Apple Music)
  • Disconnect and reconnect your streaming account
  • Update the streaming app if needed

App crashes or freezes

  • Ensure you have the latest version of Pinwave installed
  • Clear the app cache in your device settings
  • Restart your device
  • Reinstall the app if problems continue
  • Contact support with device details and error messages
